do both, canister for the strong flow rate and the w/d for good O2 levels and beneficial bacteria
Man I have sumps on all of my tanks and I think they are overrated. I wish that I would have done 2 FX5s on my 240. I understand I'm the minority, but they are a pain, noisy and don't help much with water clarity.
