hey everyone, so i am going to be building a 6.5 x 3 x 2 indoor pond and i have aquestion about drilling it... Can i jsut put like 1/ 12 inch hole near the top for drainage? or do i have to make an internal overflow for it as well? would the filter overflow if the power went out and i did not have an internal overflow? thanks!

you can drill just a hole but your water level will be about half way up the hole. if the power goes out the the water will drain into the filter until the hole is out of the water. you need to make your sump large enough to hole the overflowing water.
