Ive always been a fan of overhead filtration...overhead sumps are just as effictive as typical underneath ones, same principle. I run a typical style wet dry on the left and a homemade drawer tower inside a tote on the right. Both my overheads are just full of bio that is never washed, 4 fx5's are used for more bio and mech. I keep the water levels low (2" or less) in the overhead boxes so theres not much weight on the lids. Def. Worth trying, it cant hurt. Think of how much bio u can hold in an overhead tote or 5gal bucket compared to most dinky canisters :).

It certainly won't hurt, but one of those dinky canisters he already has running is basically a 5 gallon bucket with a pump on the top of it.The 2260. Add the other 2 he has running on a 220 tank, and I think he has more than what you have on yours. There comes a point when the amount of filtration, whether it be mechanical or bio, is not really doing any good by adding more. It's not hurting. But I'm not seeing the point in adding more to this set up.
