Oscars are one of my favorite cichlids. I had a tiger oscar that sparked my interest in fish. Mine was interactive, smart, and gluttonous.

Still have my first O, that started it all, she may not be super rare, have huge teeth or colored purple with yellow polka dots or anything like that but still a nice looking fish.
Over hyped:
Hmm... RTC's to start it off, they are huge and lazy; they are attractive fish but too much is required to keep one. Also, even though I have a common and an albino b.n. I'd have to say plecos; they are poop factories and just don't seem to be all that active.
