This is my 180 that is going to be overstocked for a few weeks untill I get my 125 back up and running. But I made a video for a few reasons. Wanted to show all the prespawn action going on. My seiboldii, my lyonsi and my meeki are all wanting to spawn so its been really fun to watch all the action. Also there is a new adition of the 3 (try and guess). Madness and aclockworkorange aren't aloud to spoil. The biggest one has a few scales missing and shredded fins, and that's because "he" was in with my friends breeding pair that were really giving it to him. "He" has healed up a lot since I got "him", and is looking better each day. Also "he" has something that is white in front of "his" tail fin, its a scale that's just hanging there. I will do another update when "he" is looking better and really give some nice shots of the three of them. Thanks for viewing and I hope I don't get flamed as this is not permanantly all of these fishes homes and a lot of them will be sold off as they pair up. Enjoy!

Thanks guys, I like all the fish in here a lot. They have all been awesome. My plan is to adventually have the meeki, argentea, and ??? (No guesses?). In my 125 and 1 pair of lyonsi, 1 pair of seiboldii, and 5 altifrons I am growing out in my 180. The 180 will be based off of the rio coloradito, and the 125 will be based off of the rio pasion/subin. Although my mystery fish don't belong they are substitutes for another member of there family that are a little more common. I came across them and know how uncommon they are and couldent resist. Again thanks for looking and thanks for the replys.

Great looking stock! Your Lyonsi and Meeki pair look especially good! About how large are the Meeki? As common as they are you simply do not see good looking, mature fish all that often. I'm waiting for a pair to form myself...

Thank you all for all the great comments. So the guess for the fish micropthalmus is right. I have 3 of them the largest is 7-8" and the smaller two are about 6". I am always really happy to hear feedback on my meeki. I have had them for 6-7 years now so they are old. But with all of the uncommon fish I have in the house (7 tanks, and that video only has about half of my less common fish in it), I am always so happy to see the number of people who really admire this "beginer or common" fish. I have a real soft spot for this pair. They have produced loads of fry over there lifes and have been kept with everything from dovii to swordtails. The male (last time I measured was 6 1/2" and the female was just over 5". I can't say enough good about them. I encourage anyone in the hobby to aquire some of those fish that got you into the hobby. And see what its like to go back to something "common". I am sure we all have heard the phrase "common for a reason". These guys are dead sexy!! And my poor camera and lack of skill doesent do these guys justice. Thank you all for your kind words and inspiring comments.
