I wouldn't add anything else bigger, no. Maybe a small/medium cichlid like a FM or Convict but very good chances you are going to have to rehouse the JD. Maybe you won't but I have a 125g that I had a JD and O in almost same size as yours and the JD would not stop thrashin' the O so I had to rehouse him.

You can definitely add a school of SD which would add a lot of movement to the tank and look good. BUT make sure the SD are at least Silver Dollar size or bigger so the O doesn't eat them. I currently have 7 SD growing out in a 90g waiting to add to my 125g. There was originally 8. They are about the size of a quarter and I figured they'd be safe since that's pretty damn wide for even my 6" O to eat. I was wrong. So yeah, just make sure they are too large for the O to eat and you'll be good.

i am not worry about the oscar and the jd they follow each other around and lay by each other all day long and wont leave each others side. neither one of them has ever tried to attack each other. i will probably add another medium sized fish and a school of SDs and call it good.

You need better filtration first.... What are your water parameters, and how often do you do water changes/ how much?

sorry thats what i was meaning after i get my canister filter. i haven't ever tested the water parameters but i did just order a api water test kit so i'm waiting on it come in the mail. i have always done weekly 50% water changes and cleaned the gravel. never have had any problems.

test your water when your test kit comes in. See were your levels are.
That tank is a 100 gallon tank.
With the stock you have, you are at your max in my opinion.
I would also up your filtration. Would help alot with your bio load and keep your stock healthy and live longer...
When you upgrade to a larger tank, then you can up your stock.

hope the info helps

yea thanks a lot. i am looking at ordering a canister right now when i up grade i will be getting a 220g and a shovel nose cat fish. so these guys will be staying in here for a while probably.
