Think he meant clean the filters every month. Do WC's every week regardless. Also, am I the only one who thinks that the guy wasn't putting him down? Seemed like he was being pretty helpful to me. :screwy:

I assume your tank is 60x18x20? I wouldnt trust the Oscars with with small cats or the Angels. When they get much larger they tend to eat what ever they can. The could kill the Angels, but If they are large enough to not be considered food you will be OK. They are not the "aggresive killers" that most people think they are, rather docile infact.
The biggest concern is that you have 2 Oscars... my experience is that Oscars are best kept with single other cichlids or in groups 4-6 in very large tanks. Two females will be OK and a Male/Female may be OK. If they breed they WILL cause havoc to those angles though.
My experience in the past has been sometimes Oscars with just two of them, one will become the dominate fish and grow larger and can kill the weaker one. 100 gallons is really pushing it for 2 full grown Oscars IMO You would be OK but if that is all that is kept in there.
It short it is really hard to predict how fish will react 100% because they are all individuals just like we are. This is just my 2 cents, im bo no means an expert but just through my obervations of 26 years into the hobby with 3/4 of those year keeping large oscars in large aquaria.

I think that you are fine wit the bioload as long as you keep up with wc and all. Don't know about the long term oscar and angel combo in the long run, but you never know. Once those oscars get big, their attitude might take a dive. Just watch it.

the angel/oscar mix is a toss up, but I've seen adult angels in tanks with adult cons and other small, yet more aggressive (than angels anyway) cichlids.
