Overstocked?

Hi, I have had bigger tanks. Long story short. I have a 30 gallon set up. About to set up a 55 gal. I will be running a canister rated for 125 gallons . Stock will be 8 clown loaches,5 silver dollars, red tail shark, delhezi bichir,2 bala sharks, gourami, tiger loach, brown kuli loach and a few others..

Would you say that this is max stock for a 55 gal.. I have all of these in my 30 gal.. Been in there for about 6 months are grew quick. I feel like it's overstocked now but all fish are healthy.

Thoughts?

I'd say that would be way overstocked, even for a 55g. Bala sharks need at least 8ft IMO considering they grow to about a foot and do best in large shoals. Clown loaches are also pretty big and need at least 5ft. What are your tank dimensions?

Get rid of balas and loaches. Or grow loaches out and sell them for alot

Yeah. That's a bit much for a 55, probably do ok with a 125g with that stock.

5silver dollar will be too much for a 55 unless you plan to upgrade soon

Agree that the clowns and bala will need a bigger tank, the 4' length of your 55g will slow the growth of your clowns long before you even notice. 6' minimum with good flow IMO...
