Overstocked?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I recommend heavy filtration and excessive water changes.

Seems a little cramped. The bumblebee alone will get 5-6", not to mention all those peacocks will get decent size. I have read that keeping africans overstocked, or in a large population can acually diffuse aggresioin. My tank was a similar sitution, 58 gal. w/ about 20 africans and 4 catfish. All was fine for a year or so then the males grow up and like to fight. I have 14 africans and the cats still but they are moving to a 110 soon.

IME bumble bees can be very aggressive and peacocks the very opposite!

but if they are all 1-1.5 inches you should be ok! as long as you keep up with water changes too!

filters work but they dont replace water changes!

Yes, more tanks, more tanks, MORE TANKS! Fish tanks are like potato chips, you can't have just one.:naughty:

I would have to agree. You will be running into problems when they get bigger with the current set ups.

agreed! i went from one to six, found out i have a baby on the wat so back down to one, then two and i'm thinking of setting up a third for the baby's room. i'm not addicted! i can quit if i want. i just dont want to!
