Have you seen the teeth on those things? It doesn't have to be bigger. It will tear chunks of flesh off of bone. Thats what they are designed to do. They won't swallow it whole, they tear it apart, bite by biteIt would kill the bichirs?? I don’t think it will have enough space to grow to be big enough to kill the bichirs in the first place
