The government also said snakeheads impact the ecology of the north american ecosystem in a horrible way. So far there is no research or study that says this is 100% true that hasn't been done without being funded or influenced by the feds.

Is there a negative impact anywhere other than Florida? No.. Florida has regulations already. This ban does nothing about the wild pythons, and it is simply banning transport. If anything, it will simply cause more snakes to be released. This is a nationwide ban for a local problem. Someone can't take their python from Minnesota to Ohio, because there are some loose in Florida. Furthermore, the ban is based on the "study" by the USGS that claimed the pythons could survive in the southern third of the US, which was a hugely criticized study by all manner of scientific organizations, which came to the conclusion that it was “not scientific”, and “not suitable as the basis for regulatory legislative policy decisions”.

It's only just starting in FL, but it will spread. This is a smart move before all the Southern states have issues like we do. Putting a ban in effect after they have a strong foothold in the area will do nothing (As FL has shown). Having a nationwide ban will make it much easier to regulate these animals and keep them from starting in other areas.
Those arguing the study is "not scientific" having nothing to prove the study wrong other than opinion.
It's scientific FACT that many of the lower states are very well suited for these animals to thrive in. I don't know how anyone who understands these snakes could say othewise.

Scientists say bull to fit politicians agenda all the time. Do a little research yourself instead of believing everything your told. Look at the survivable temperature ranges for these snakes then look at the low temps of the states they believe they will take over. Its a joke.

Agreed. Research is very important tool. All snakehead species were banned because no one do a research on them and then they should know that only one species can survive in cold waters instead of whole family of snakeheads.
