aw shame, two questions

1. uk mfk'ers do you think 4 pounds each is about right? plan on selling them at that at 3-4cm

2. any gene experts here? the female has whit speckles and male has good colour what are the chances of these fry having either colours in them if any? i understand for example an electric blue dempsey and normale dempsey cant give ebjd it has to be either ebjdxebjd or ebjdxbgjd right.... how will colours work on these two, anyone here with any experience breeding midas?
 
Put a couple of them in a separate tank, just, with a sponge filter. It is worth a try. You have very good genetica on that male.
 
yeah i plan on growing a few out too see how they turn out! wondering if i'd have to breed the fry together to guarentee some black genes.... maybe! are you interested in any miguel, i could get a 30hr heatpack and send them express?
 
hey, they get beat up by everything tbh... they do stand their ground but the midas and dovii are more hardcore and its plain to see they are the bottom of the pecking orderf even though they are in the middle in the size stakes. they dont get injured but always swim away first when confrontation occures! offcourse this could all change as they grow, i think all aggression is down to tank size... to grow all three pairs out in the same tank with 0 aggression to full size you would need a few 1000 gallons in my opinion, the buttis and some most of the other fish are for sale atm so the dovii and midas will be the main fish in the tank...
