while I've been neglecting my dig out thread I thought I'd start a new one to neglect.
So I went "fishing" in the temp pond and brought in some of my tropicals for the winter. Temperature took long enough but we're finally seeing mid-high 70's for the high and 40's-50's for the low. Which of course means that it's time for the koi to go dormant and the tropicals to come inside.
this got me curious about how others overwinter their tropicals and what stock is brought in and what stock is left out.
for me the koi are left out while the 2 12" pacus, 1 16" pleco and 1 20" pleco, 1 6" pink kissing gourami and 1 8" pink kissing goruami are brought inside. (odd pairing when in the pond I know but they are all ahppy and healthy I promise)
so come on let me know and see (my pics coming shortly) of those wonderful monsters who hate the winter cold.
