owner responsive??

ok, i'm just wanting to know how owner responsive/interactive these fish are:

Red Terror (festae, the real one),
Red Devil,
Midas,
Green Terror,
Jag,
Dovii

Any responses are welcome.:)
 
Red devil are very owner respnsive.Its even said they reconzie their owners.Doviis are probaly a lil more owner resonsive when mature.Both these fish on average will try to attack u.Not all of them but most ive kept will.I dont kno about the other fish,but if u want a fish for that will stay in nothing less then a 55 get a red devil.If u want one that is about 24 inches and needs a 100 gallon at least get a dovii.Either way these fish get large at lest 12 inches and will never bore u.

wrong, males need 240+, 180 minimum, females, mabey could get away in a 125., and also wrong about the devil also, they need 75's

i find jags very owner responsive, well they chase me away from there fry really, which counts in a way i guess.

Have you ever actualy seen a full grown dovii? I seem to doubt you have if you're recommending a 100 gallon tank for a (in your words) a 24" fish.
 
don't know what to say about the other fish, but red devils are as close to a real pet as i have seen in the fish world....mine literally moves around the tank according to where i am in the room....if he can see me, he's paying attention to me, my favorite fish by far
 
I have ten cichlids in one of my tanks and they all follow me around like a little pack hungy seagulls or something. Fish want food and they assoiciate you with food. Pretty much all of these fish are unshy and outgoing that is why they they are considered ""human responsive". When I open my garage door to my house they are all in that corner of the tank waiting for me because they heard the big garage door open. These fish include: jag, synspilum, butterkoferi, festae, and nicaraguense. Depending on which side of the room I am in they all gather to that side of the tank. It doesn't mean they want me to pet them or something. But probably all of the fish you listed will be up at the tank waiting for you when they see you.
 
Most big cichlids are owner responsive due to the fact that they are begging for food or trying to defend there teritory against you. the owner responsiveness (sp) comes with age and size. although my fenestratus is trying to bite me through the glass and hes only 4".
 
I have owned both a jag and a GT both are fairly responsive but compared to my last Oscar they are rather dull.

To be honest the Oscar and a ryukin goldfish have had the most entertaining personalities of all the freshwater fish I have kept.

Maybe as my jag and Gt age their personalities will begin to develop, but it is hard to say. As someone else said it really depends of the individual fish.
 
My green terror didn't really start getting interactive with me until about 8". After that he turned completely brave and greets me, hand feeds and I can even pet him with my finger at the top of the water. He's about 8 years old now and in bad shape, I think he's going blind. :( It's sooooo sad!!
