owner responsive??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my RD is extremely responsive to me. when i open my door to my room he shoots to the front of the tank. if im standing in front of the tank he's looling at the lid waiting for it to open. if anyone else stands in front of the tank he goes insane tryin to get them. lol.

My blue acara is the most responsive. He goes beserk anytime I get near the tank, and always follows me when I walk by. He's definately my fav in the tank.

I have owned all those fish exept for the rt i had a myan and thought it was rt til i joined here. The most responsive is the devil/midas same thing imo then next would be a jag pair very responsive while spawning a single fish will be the devil.

wrong, males need 240+, 180 minimum, females, mabey could get away in a 125., and also wrong about the devil also, they need 75's

i find jags very owner responsive, well they chase me away from there fry really, which counts in a way i guess.

ummmmmm.sorry females need 55 gallons for minimum, and males need 75 but more space the better.and i kno that a 75 is minimum for a female dovii by herself. Why would one female need a 125 when it came turn around in 1 75 seeing they only get 15 inches and the tank is 48 inches long.:screwy:

(I'm not even sure why I still reply to these comments but...) The length of a 75 gallon is 48 inches yes, but the length has nothing to do with a fish's ability to turn. The width is only 18, and yes she'd be able to turn around fine, but I believe XR is referring to swimming space for larger cichlids. As recommended is four times their length, (4 x 15-16 = 60-64 in) a 125 would suit a female dovii much better.

Try to imagine taking three steps, and having to turn around... thats your house. :(

Anyway, forgot to post my original intentions. I'd say Rd/Midas as well. :D

But you have a pond so why would you confine your dovii, to a 75 gallon? It doesn't make any sense. Or is the pond that full? And I hope you don't think a 90 is big enough for a male:confused::screwy:

holy, i'm so friggen sick of you people always argueing. i mean, i don't care about the friggen dovi tanksize, i just want to find out about its personality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ya know what you guys should do? you should start a thread called "arguments" and just post stuff to tic each other off:irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked:
