is bridge loan = construction loan or different?

rottbo, it's nice that you can do that. Kinda pays to be in the home construction business.

no i was a victim from hurricane Charlie and insurance paid off well and the house i ownwed at the time tripled in money

i paid cash ..see the house in the hurricane i paid 30k for 7 well 9 years ago now i kept the ins money for 45k and sold the house in as is condition for140k left Fla move to Tenn and i paid 140k for 3 times the size of what i had before i moved i was making 40k a year but after owning out right i decided to take it easy and work a job that might not pay as well but i have fun every day

Don't forget the tax benefits of being able to deduct your mortgage interest on a primary residence.

in fla you homestead your home you get a big tax break right odd the bat every year ..i wish i could do that here

I own 2 homes, about 8 miles apart. When i bought my second house i thought that i would do ok,you know rent out the 1st and make money, well in the past year i had to replace a furnace and roof on my 1st house!!:( So much for making money!!:WHOA:

i dig man in some ways i feel very lucky to have what i do ... but i did take a big loss on many irreplaceable items in that hurricane , but it all good now we have all new

i dont own mine yet but will in 25 years, i just remortgaged to do a refurb but my house is still worth twice as much as i owe.
i live in a very old victorian terraced house that takes a lot of upkeep so i thought i'd do it all in one go along with making the layout better and more suitable for my needs.
i also spent an extra $10000 of my own money which was my contingency for the building work but i got some toys and stuff and furniture to finish it off.
i am very skint now
