I would guess he’s 18-20” now. Unfortunately, I don’t really have any space to put a pool or stock tank.

Unfortunately your best option long term does appear to be listing him on the various sites for adoption or at least temporarily, but that just brings the problem back next year. As you suggest, even at 5 1/2 ft deep and with a small heated section there would be no chance at keeping water around him anything like warm enough for Carl to survive.

I can’t say I’ve seen anyone keep any tropical cats at low temps for any length of time and had them come Out the other end okay.
I think it may be in your best interest, to
Find him a suitable home or make him something to sit the winter out in.
