Ozone

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's can't be right. Ozone is created by super heating air and breaking O2 molecules rejoining them as O3. It takes way more heat than a UV bulb could dream of.

Strange EA suggests only on freshwater. Most of the big public aquariums run it on their marine
tanks.

It still looks like the air dryer to me, but I've never seen one that plugs in.

If you want to add a great ozone unit for your set up, look into the smallest Dell unit, the EC116. I'm hoping to buy one for each of our 500 gallon displays and replace the outdated / not working UV set ups on them. But they run abotu $350 each.

Oh yeah. They are over sized for what we're doing since we use water from the bay, and have a lot of junk to kill off in the process.

so thats the whole system for 350.00 or are there other parts I need to buy?

Set it and keep an eye on it. It has a window of high and low range to set for the level. It keeps it there automatically. Check it when you check the rest of your system for normal operation. I'll see if I can get a pic of our set up for you.
