Mine rarely eats during the day,it just cruises around the tank and watches me.Does yours have any spots?

Very faint spots I can barely see w/ my eye lol, yeah it probably helps I feed at like 2 am after I get out of work, it was for the bichirs initially

I think they get more spots as they age.Mine barely had any when I first got it but now I'd say about eighty percent of its body is spotted.

Niceee, i figured something like that.. im not sure if he was attacked again but he seems a little more messed up, gonna have to do a WC tmw.

Seriously considering selling bloody face, he takes up the most bio and costs me the most money tank-mate wise

I used to have two that hid together under a log. Anytime anything tried to swim by they would pop out and attack it. Nasty bastards. Traded them in. Had to convince the store owner that they weren't just african brown knives.

Lol what size were they? I don't see this guy getting mean for now at least.. he's about 6 inch and is pretty beat up right now due to bloody face

The one that did it

He's the largest red wolf I've ever seen in real life, probably 8-9 inch and fat

He even looks guilty in that photo..Get rid of him for the afer's sake.

Its hard to part w/ ol bloody face, I mean look at that face lol. I am thinking about moving my grow outs into the divided tank, then putting bloody face in the 30 ga, but I'd feel guilty having him in such a small tank even if its only for a month or so

You guys think a larger plastic bin would work? I know people use them as temp holding places for fish and even cheap perm homes. Something wider and taller then my 30, I have an extra filter on my 10 rated up to 30 gallons just in case something like this arises.

I got a group of 18- 22" afers and with all the featherback species that Im keeping. I would say afer is the most aggressive of them all. They usually hate newly introduce fish in the tank, especially other feather back species that are newly introduce or other mid and top swimming fish.
