My P. Breidohri has been setting up shop for a mate (digging a pit, awaiting a female) and beat up his brother (They're from the same parents, same batch of fry) Now his brother is barely clinging onto his life....I think he might not make it.....

Ok then separate them. Don't just let the one die.

Yep. Mine is doing about the same thing with a female Fenestratus. Big pain if you ask me. I'd read that Breidohri were not too tough compared to other Vieja, but mine is in charge in a big tank with Argentea, Zonatus, smaller midas and trimac. Great fish, great attitude.

Hell yeah. He and his brother was pretty docile until now. Can't believe he turned on him though, those two always hung out like true brothers along with my herd of eartheaters.

Sorry to hear it. Breidohri are...uhhhh....different? They get rough. I started out with 5, I have 1 big male left. And he's nothing nice. He's in my 540 behind a divider with his mistress right now. Don't let the color fool you...they're mean.

Look at trimacs, colorful but mean. Same with the breidohri's meaner cousin, the Maculicauda (black belt)

I just got my first breidohri the other day. It's about 5" and I don't know if it's a male or female yet but, it has tons of personality. I can't wait to see it grow. Could you post a picture of yours and tell us how big it is now?

My profile picture is the one that killed his brother, his brother was far less colorful.
