yea they are swimming good and look healthy. i guess they are just some ugly jags. im gonna put them in the classifieds and grow the small ones. any one interested before i put em up there?

good to hear. i've always liked the way the jags are kinda like a diamond shape. makes them appear alot bigger face on
ya man i havent seen any jags with bad backs. im sure it possible with crappy water but the big ones on here including mine all look fine. not like the dempseys ive seen before.
I know what he means. I see some older ones and some smaller ones that just look messed up, kinda like they have curve in their back. They usually look underfed/malnourished though. The healthy looking ones are the best. I think the ones in his video do look just a little abnormal.
the male in the video looks fine, the female however could stand to be fattened up a bit. and the male in the picture looks really good actually. i guess they're just like we are, as the get older their backs get bad. just make sure they don't do any heavy lifting..
i got rid of them. lfs gave me $80 so i picked up 6 cuban cichlids and a female GT. i still have the young pair.
I think it comes with age, diet, poor water quality and too small of and space or any combination of the four. I have seen jags with bad backs and ones without all the same size it just depends on all of the above.
