Has Polypterus palmas been renamed, I never see it mentioned in here.
Is there a Polypterus that is as active and as peaceful as palmas?
Ive had many palmas over the years- there the only ones i can really find locally.
I have a chance to get a P delhezi, are they similair to palmas?
thanks

P. palmas palmas ('palmas' bichir)- 13"
(subspecies)P. palmas polli ('marbled bichir)- 14"
(subspecies) P. palmas buettikoferi ('buettikoferi' bichir)- 13"
No still the same recognised species and two subspecies.
IMO delhezis tend to be fairly active

as anne said, there are still three recognized subspecies. What you're calling palmas i bet is the subspecies P. palmas polli, as thats the only one thats very active out of the three and most common of the three.

another very active bichir, as active as the polli, is senegalus (regular or albino)
