it really doesnt bother you answering the same question over and over again when a person just has to use the search feature and can find out all the answer and narrow down a select few questions to ask???

Do people really want less posts?!?!?! Less people asking questions? You guys think it happens only in the ray forum? Search "convict" and see just how many times I have offered equal non biased advise..It never gets old...No matter how monotonous it gets, it is someones first day...I was SOOOOO scared when I first got here, for the above stated reasons...I had never been on a forum of any sort...It was never that I did not know fish..1: I moved a lot and never had Internet until '03 (raised in a poor home) I had NO clue how to "act" luckily I am smart and figured it out on my own
I wish it was easier back then to "fit in" here, but it was not Now that I know how that tastes, I make it my point to make new members feel as if they belong. This kind of thing is " anti new members". Who cares if old threads are bumped and who cares if people ASK how to cure ich (and spell it ick) I HELP anyhow, and then gently explain WHAT STICKIES ARE IN THE FIRST PLACE....LMAO not everyone even knows what "stickies" are or what "bump" means, or "flame". ETC...Before you can know anything in life, you MUST be told, in most cases...How is it easier to cry and start new threads then to just never post in the first place? ....COUNTER PRODUCTIVE.....
P.S.....I am not yelling at nic, that is just my "rookie" way of emphasizing what I think is most important in what I just said...I am a computer novice...If I said it once I'll say it again.....I am from the hood..Every key stroke is like "one small step for man" I know SOOOO much more than I did a year and a half ago...Not only about fish, but, computers, life, people, different hobbies (even non animal related) ...In all honesty MFK has been one of the most important things that have happened to me...I feel a sense of "belonging" and also I feel like I have made some true friends...We ALL need to get rejuvenated a bit and make MFK what it was before the upgrade....

to me certain questions just get old... and i know its not just the ray forum i go to set up and filtration for a laugh every now and then... i was the same when i joined but i also searched every inch of the page and made use of the search feature... i also used google and started purchasing books.... i know mfk is a sole place for research for alot of people... but i kinda hate sounding like a broken record and it gets old to me... personally i cant think of how a person can they are the only ones to ask a certain Q.... i really think im just about do for a very long break from mfk though....
I like the way you think I have just got on here and have asked a lot of questions of a lot of people and everyone seems pretty nice. Here's a dumb one for ya. I got a fifty five gal. with just a pleco in it. I want to do 2 maybe three more aggressive fish. Ive been told jaguar cichlids and wolf cichlids. Got any suggestions or ideas with this?

let me clear one thing.... i dont mind helping people at all... i have alot of knowledge in many fish... and i dont mind sharing it... but when i person buys a fish with no research and then wants help it pisses me off and i wont help them... if a person starts research on there own and then needs answer filled in and cant understand something or whatever it may be then im happy to help.... to me actually showing you want the best and researching it by actually searching for answer and not just posting every Q you can think of shows me you really want to give this fish the best life possible...

You could get away with some convicts in there though
If your plec is a common, it will NOT be a good choice for a 55 either...They need more like a 210 with a huge cave at least when full grown...Have fun man Pet stores make people think what they are doing is OK...It is a big slap in the face to hear the truth from pros...We need to make that slap a nice hug and they WILL head to the advice, or go away...
