They truley are a beutiful ray and probabley worth the price.

Hello,

the first in the pics showen by Miles is my male.
I keep Aparicio since 5 years or so but now when I got females my male died :(
I have some Aparicio/Motoro crosses which I let grow and crossbreed.
The fact that pups did look like motoros shows that my male is very motoro-relative, I hope when they crossbreed I will se what other kind of ray is mixed with motoro in that river.

Aparicio are "Motoros" from Rio Tigre, and a exporter told that about 80% of the "Motoros" caught in that river have these brown spots or stripe-markings.

Btw, my Aparicio/Motoro pup female which is now about 1year and did look like normal Motoro, looses the spots and I think will look like Severum1 ' male.

Wow I like the ones in the second set of pictures that Miles' posted. Please keep us updated and let us know if you decide to get any.

You might just get your wish. Keep an eye out for a post titled "New Arrivals."

Edit: I would be doing the cross myself, eventually.

I would prefer a normal motoro.

Ashley digs the patterns. I also really like the "normal" motoro pattern, but she's the boss on stocking the 360 gallon tank. :grinno: As soon as I get the 450 plywood tank built... it's open season on cheap motoros! :naughty: :headbang2:nilly:
