Ade,

Looked at the video again and again. Truly epic when it comes to datnoids and stingrays. I know there were lots of history in your lovely tank (species that went in and out).

How are you able to get these Archers to adapt so well? I have an LFS that has a couple rare Toxotes blythii (5"ers). but I'm so worried about freshwater compatibility. Read that these are the ones that adapt to FW the best. But I'm still skeptical as they are archers. After seeing your two commonly know Brackish Chatereus looking so well. Kinda motivating actually. DANG IT ADE!!! cost is $100 usd each. lol

Any suggestions?

Managed to muck around on YouTube.

Any how, found this on the web;FW archers are Toxotes blythii, Toxotes kimberleyensis, Toxotes lorentzi, Toxotes microlepis, and Toxotes oligolepis. Toxotes microlepis is unique among the five freshwater archerfish species in sometimes being found in slightly brackish water as well. But do fine an well in FW.
I think mine are microlepis.

I think mine are microlepis (pretty sure not chateaus)
Some blythii also turned up in uk in 2 stores. £70 and £60!!!! Which is about $100 each!!!

I paid £25 each for mine about 3-4 yr ago.

To add. The lfs I mentioned had at least 6 chateurus and did not know how to take care of them. I presume they all died cuz they developed white fungus like spots on them and looked quite skinny. But damn, the Blythii looks hella good since I think they are more on the FW side like the Micro. Hm.... got some thinking to do.
