As you described your feeding shedule and the growth rate of your females, it's in my eyes very unlikely, that your females do not have eggs!
But apart from that, if your male was in the same females tank all the time, except for only one month and because of the males inability to get rid of all the nutrient he ate during the last months like the females can (after given birth) and dwindle abruptly, it's highly propable that your male is meanwhile simply too FAT and LAZY to be interested in his females any longer
