Pacman Frogs~~~

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I bought my first Pacman (Herbert) from work, he was a quasi-rescue as we didnt have any room in the store to keep him, so he had to stay in a betta cup. When I got him in November, he was no larger than a quarter, now, hes about the size of a peach, about 3 inches at his widest.

The I got Sigmund, my albino pacman from work also, just wanted to have another one. He was less than a penny in size, and not much larger now, had him about 2 months. He is actually suffering from a prolapse right now, but getting better.

well, you really dont need a lot of room for these frogs for their first 5 years of life, they wont be any bigger than an orage, a small 5 gallon should be good enough, especially because, as said many times, they just dont move.

I have the one frog in a ten gallon tank, fully equipped with partial aquatic area, a nice cool side/warm side, yadda yadda, he doesnt care, never moves until the food starts coming around, and even then, not too much, so as long as their environment is moist and warm, i doubt they need anything deluxe

why mention 5 years? mine was full grown (6") at about 2 years. she hit 4" by the end of her first year. i dont even use glass tanks for her, just critter keepers. easier to clean and lighter to carry to the sink, also no risk of an accidental crack or shatter.
