Pacman wont eat!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have seen them kept in wet gravel about 3 " of it and a steady temp of 78* u should get a night time heat lamp for him also. How big do those pacmans get? i have been told as big as a basketball but i am not beliving that.

yea i had him on bed a beast but the pet shop where i go to they keep pacman frogs in shallow water in a room at about 80 degrees. he told me to just keep it on water because it is easier to clean and his pacman frogs ate really well.

anyways i'll switch back to bedabeast cus i guess my frog doesnt like this kind of setup, he's been on it for a couple of months btw.

he USED to be very voracious, but after a while, even on BEDABEAST he lost his urge to eat...

They get pretty big when obesse. THe size of a dinner plate. But I bet the naturel size in about half that.

Of course I help people. Every responce is information. When your not hard on people, they dont listen. Being all nice and easy doesnt get anyone anywhere. Im the only strict one here who can see that. Im not mean, but just do it!

If you are disrespectful to people they don't listen. They get angry and that just blocks out all the advise you are trying to give them. And don't go on borads giving people the wrong information. And you know you have done it ( Jardini aros getting to 4' long)

As long as people take proper care of their fish, I dont mind them keeping them. NOTE: To all people who dont know anything about fish, this one will get 4 feet in lenght and need a pond to live in. And the Green Terror fish he has will get to be about 10" to a foot in lenght.

:) nice looking frog there, what exactly have you been offering it for food? and how offten do you offer it food?

Basic set up for your frog - go glass, a 5 1/2 gallon tank or a 10 gallon tank is preferd, do a 75 wat heat lamp (red if you want it on 24 hours those moon glow ones put off WAY to much white-light whitch disturbeds the frogs day\night cycle) i'm going to attempt to attach a very very VERY poor quality picture of a ideal setup, just add foliage as you see fit, no plants with bases like aquarium plants anything that you can hang from the wall or the lid work great and provide shelter meaning your frog will be out and about more offten, even though it'll still be a pet rock most of the time... just like mine -.- lol.

oh and Z...u obviously dont know very much about pacman frogs lol...u might wana do some research alright? and that dosent mean google it or ask jeebs then act like u know everything...give advice not criticism, and maybe you'll help someone...someday...oh well i'm not holding my breath :) (oh and BTW...their NATURAL size, is infact as big as a dinner plate, that is NOT an obese packman, just a nice sized one :) as with all animals some are larger then others...these frogs are naturaly fat =)

--Try offering food every week, or every other week. my pacman gets food once a month or every other week, he's large and in charge lol :) sometimes he'll fast for 2 months then start eating like normal again, when pacmans dont eat their to cold, and\or unhappy. (the fast was during the coldest part of this winter for me, house temps dropped some and he started refusing food)

dont worry to much if he dosent start eating at first, give him some time and keep me updated about his progress, and have you tried testing the actual water temperature with a digital thermomiter w\ probe? if your testing with anything else ur temps could be inacurite and it might be colder then you think....

pacmans enjoy a day temp of 78-86 degrees if its to hot\to cold they'll burrow till their body temperature is what they want it to be, so deep subrtrate is important, u can go as deep as 6 inches (deeper if the tank size permits) i personaly prefer to stick with 3-4 inches of subrtrate sinch is easier to clean out if the frog decides to take a dump at the very bottom...large terds :WHOA:

best of luck with you frog man! and once again keep me updated!
