why does Pacquiao have a tattoo of sperm on his chest?

Thats a cute boxing glove :)

Im disappointed.. Barrera said he will fight for pride. But it looks like he fought for the final payday and to survive. He just ran away.. didnt even throw punches. Manny wins by UD !

You can say that again...but he definitely throwed some punches just didn't work that's why he tried head bat thing manny maybe if he didn't ran away he could have been knock out again.

VERY disappointing fight. Barrera disgraced himself. He fought to survive, fought simply not to get knocked out, he never intended on actually winning that fight.

And Pacman, well I am sad to say he has lost his fire. Boxing has been great to him, and IMO he is already an all time great, with an incredible career spanning multiple weights, an overnight superstar, a Filipino legend etc.

But now he has started to experience and enjoy things outside of the ring, he has more than enough money and earns OUTSIDE of boxing, he simply doesn't have the same fire now.

He even said after the fight "I am jst glad no-one got hurt". That's not the beast Pacman I know, and that's not the Pacman that savaged barrera in their first fight.

You put this negative survival mode barrera in with the Pacman that fought him the first time, and I swear to you, pacman just walks through him and demolishes him in exactly the same way.

There were plenty of opportunities for Pacman to have turned up the heat, but he was pretty content with a sparring match, he no longer has the fire in his belly, and his bond with roach is broken, he doesn't listen to him anymore.

So as strange as it is, pacman only being 28 and all, I think he should probably retire now or he may well lost to Marquez in his next fight.

The fire being lost is something I have suspected for a while now, mainly since his campaigning for office in the Phillipines, then after that saying "Maybe I'll go to law school instead" :D

Thats his standard line : Im am glad no one got hurt . But i disagree with you there Joe. I think Barrera ran away and Pacman really had a hard time chasing him... When he would and would fire away his combos, Barrera would quickly hug him.. But on the flip side Pac had tremendous respect for Barreras firepower. He even admitted that Barrera was the hardest hitting Mexican he had ever fought.

He still has the fire bro... If the next opponent is willing to fight and trade with him, ill bet you there will be a KD.

I could be wrong Wes, and I hope I am for the sake of the sport and our enjoyment as fans, BUT I am not basing it on this 1 fight. I am basing it on his out of the ring activities and his last couple of fights.

You're absolutely right about Barrera's negative tactics of course, but I truly believe that you throw this negative barrera in with the Pacman that whupped him the first time, and he just walks him down and destroys him the same way.

Where did Pacman say that about MAB's power? It's pretty surprising, because there is simply no way Barrera hits harder than Morales. Pacman was hurt far more by Morales than Barrera, in their first fight of course, not when Morales sort of became shot overnight. Barrera has stopped only 1 or 2 world class fighters, Morales and Manny have stopped loads.

Hes been saying that in Interviews after the first fight .. He always says Barrera hits the hardest out of all the Mexican fighters . :) Trust me he did.

We'll see after the next "tune up" fight this feb. if Pac still has the heart and ferocity of a lion. I think he does, its just hard to knock out a person in the ring
if his intentions are not to win ,but to survive.

Of course it is, that's how journeymen make a living, just trying to last the distance so they don't get suspended as you do from a KO loss.

HOWEVER Wes - Let's give Pacman some credit here. He is not your average world champ or attacking fighter, at his best he is an offensive machine. Possibly THE single best offensive fighter in the game today. And the people that lasted the distance like Marquez and Larios, that was Pacquiao's doing. Vs Larios it was just a half assed performance, and Vs Marquez Pacman just got left hand happy, and thought it would be easy to get Marquez out of there after the 1st round near destruction, which obviously it wasn't.

If Pacman was on like in the first fight, MAB wouldn't have seen the final bell.

The only way we'll really see if Pacman still has the fire is when he's up against it with a young, hungry fighter as Pacman was when he came over as an opponent on 2 weeks notice and BATTERED Ledwaba. A tune up fight won't tell us, as he may simply by demotivated, his opponent overmatched, and he won't really need to show fire.

Against Valero - who is a sloppy bum with a punch - Pacman wins, fire or not. Against Lizaraga, Pacman wins, Liz is too green.

Against Israel Vazquez - Pacman would need to show more than he did on saturday. Vazquez is a beast. Did you see him crush Marquez in the rematch? He is small, an average size 122 pounder, and Pacman has beefed up to a good size 130 pounder, but Israel is a very dangerous fighter and one of the best punchers in the sport.

So against someone as good as Vazquez or even a decent 135 pounder, he'll need to show some fire.

I hope he does because he's only 28 and he's not taken much punishment, so theoretically he could still have a few prime years left.
