Maybe but it's bigger then the 90 it was in. The trip could if done it too.

Aww poor shovelnose, my 20" pacu completely ignores my catfish but did the same thing to my flowerhorn's trailer fins. They aren't very territorial but they are extremely aggressive eaters, so if your shovelnose got in his way he wouldn't hesitate to bite (I always feed mine first for that exact reason). He would probably be much better behaved in a proper size pond but from what I've read on here, most pet stores will euthanize a pacu that size. Please try giving him back to your friend or put a free ad on craigslist before going that route. I know u have good intentions but it's not fair giving him a death sentence just because he didn't work out in your tank
Thanks for the generous offer but I'm in the same boat as you, I wouldn't have anywhere to put him. As others said I'd try a trade/free thread on here and on Craigslist before taking him to a LFS.

Make sure it doesnt have any chems on it like most kiddie pools do, 4x4s, plywood and pond liner is a better way to go IMO and you can make it look decent, then use it for like koi or growouts

Back to the pacu. It is on the way to my parents house. Me and my girlfriend were discussing where to go during Easter break. I wanted Colorado she wanted Florida. As a compromise and having to deal with me we are going to Florida and my girlfriend and her friend are driving the fish up to my parents for me. They left an hour ago so in about 4 hours I should have pictures of him in his new home.
I also think he took another chunk of nose off when I went on a search for the pool.
