Pacu eats grapes!

My Pacu also just ate three Silversides. Anyone that thinks they are herbivores, toss a few dead minnoews in your tank.

Pacus will eat almost anything you throw at them but they do not hunt or stalk other fish.. smetimes the smaller fish swims near or into their mouth then they have no problem eating a little protein.. and being BIG eaters they gorge themselves and think about what they ate later, but they do love their veggies and fruits.
 
Our pacus absolutely LOVED watermelon. We have a pacu that was hogging all the food, making it almost impossible for the oscars to get anything to eat. We started feeding our pacus unlimited watermelon--letting them gorge themselves before their regular feeding of pellets. This was a BIG BIG mistake. In just a few days, the ammonia was off the charts! No more watermelon for our big boys!

hell dont gorge them at all.
 
Never thought about watermelon either.
 
I will have to wait until next summer to try watermelon,theres none around here in the winter.
