I used to poke this homeless guy who would fall asleep by my apt. in SD. poked him every morning with a nice stick. just to make sure he was still alive. lol
I think they're dead. There was a strong foul smell that came from the tank within the hour, so I just took them out. I felt really bad for the person that gave me the fish to re-home them =/
He floated around the tank away and near the aerator, yes. Does that make a difference? There were two of them actually, so they both were around the tank before.
im sorry once i put a dieing sunfish near the airator and attempted to revive it like what u do when ur fishing. suprisingly he lived lol after a tried to revive him his gills were moving so i put him next to the aireator and turned off the lights and left him alone for a hour, when i checked back he improved and was moving abit, and a few hours later he was swimming around.. idk if he was lucky or if i somehow caught him in time
I know that when I moved my large pacu, it was lying sideways in the bucket and I thought he was dead but I think they do this when they're are stressed. However, not moving, excess slime and fishy smell = dead.
