the tank is about 48x24x20 and for those who feel that i am cruel to my fish look in the mirror, my fish is 6yrs old and well taken care of, i don't believe many fish live that long in captivity without constant attention

landon, it's different, for a start piranhas are not illegal in every state right? So there are still many freely available in the states where tey are legal.

But an Asian aro is illegal everywhere, every state, so obviously importing them in the first place is the hard part. Also they are listed as endangered species, not just posing a thread like P's.

Here's my little guy. He/She is about 8" at this time. In with a
male and female Dovii male is 6" and female 4" or so. They
are starting to pick on the RBP so am moving to the 100 gallon.
Going to exchange the JD out of the 100 and watch the
scales fly . Anyhow everybody is being moved to the
pond in the near future.

lookyloo- Pacus grow to 3-4 FEET... They need more than 300 gallons (better yet 1,000) when fully grown.

And you think 6-years old is good? I have goldfish who are 7-years old... And they're still growing.
