I have a red belly pacu...only maybe 2 inches long...but he's only eating algae wafers...wont touch tropical flake or bloodworms....all the pacu info sites say to feed them flake and bloodworms but mine just isnt diggin them...just the wafers...is this ok?

Yes, no worries.
Keep trying to feed various things, so he gets his vitamins,
whatever he eats. Eventually.
But for now your Pacu has a taste for the pleco tablets/algae wafers.
So he gets his vitamins anyway.
Mine (15"), also likes pleco tablets the most, but luckly he likes cracked hazelnuts too. I still cant get him to eat anything I offer.
Im trying banana now, and he seems to like it.
I freeze the slices (with peel), so he has something to chew.
Seems to work.

awe sweet...thanks...i'll try that next

ok...new question...same fish lol...i'm gonna try the banana thing...are there any fresh feeding methods used to keep water pollution to a minimum...I.E. a retrievable bait type method...

Don't bother with bloodworms or flakes, these are big fish that have the appetites of fish that are twice their size. The best thing to feed them IMO is mainly Hikari cichlid gold, and krill, algae wafers, and various fruits and vegetables to supplement their diet. My 17 incher loves lettuce and grapes.

ok...and for a "neat" feeding method? anything come to mind?
