If worst comes to worst, you could eat the fish. It depends how attached to it you become. I'm sure you will end up getting larger tanks as you go along!

my thinking is if i were a 2ft fish i would want something a little wider to turnaround.and something a little longer to stretch my fins.another reason I'm thinking something large is i want to be able to put some tank mates in with her.and i was also told that pacus out grow there tanks and don't stop growing at 2ft.plus I've got some good plans for a tank.and some help too.just need to supply the beer.just want to put in my two cents, people forget get that fish will grow to the size of their enviroment even in the wild, for example a large species of fish thats grows up in a small area will only grow so much and never reach its full size, i have personally seen this in the wild (small mouth bass in a stream fed mud hole). a pacu in a 220 will only grow to 2ft and never larger
