You should start trying to get rid of them now, or plan on spending thousands of dollars on food, filtration and 500 gallon or bigger aquarium.

As for the OP, My Pacu was great with fish he couldn't fit in his mouth, if they could, they disappeared at night. They eat the food so fast, you cant really have a passive/shy fish with them.
