pacu??

I would buy a fish the same size as the Pacu, and with a similar growth rate. What species of Goby? Marbled sleeper? Have a scientific name?
 
a 55 and a 40 i buying it off a lady who posted an ad on store window... in the 40 gallon 1-16 inch pacu (i think its black) and in the 55 1 piranha (sp?) she goes to the local tackle shop and buys 2 dozen shiners every 3 weeks and divides them up in each tank the tanks are filthy i havent picked them up yet plan to next tuesday i think my b/f is buying both of them for my b-day..the piranha aka jaws is about as round as a bays sippy cup why she has the baby in the big tank and the pacu in the little tank i dont know all i know is they need my help and i really want to give jaws and arnold a good home...i curretly have 2 -10 gallons 1- 55 gallon 1-75 gallon plus a 5 gallon and the two tanks for my birthday... ive fell in love with the pacu.. will they eat bigger comon plecos? could i put him in my 75 ..i live 2 hrs away from this lady with the tanks.. how will i move that big of a fish the pick up is a rough rider so im not going to keep him in the tank for 2 hrs in the cold being bounced around like a jack ball... could i just bag jaws? im in need of professional help .PLEAS HELP ME!!
 
Good luck with that. I was given a free 6 inch pacu and a 55 gallon a little over a year ago. He went from a 55 to a 90 to a 220 in about a year. He is about 22-23 inches now.
 
Someone offered me a free pacu before, I declined and am glad I did. I think I would have ended up with one growth stunted pacu in my 150 gal eventually.
