That 16" pacu probably is a redbelly, blacks arnt really that common in the general LFS trade. But by a ft most redbelly pacus have pretty much lost their red bellies and do look alot like a young black pacu. The Pacu would probably be happier in your 75G...since it has an 18" width the fish could actually turn around. The 55G just isnt wide enough for a 16" pacu to turn. If your looking to re-home there just sadly arnt many suitable homes for a fish this large...youd need to find somebody with atleast a 180G tank....as most red belly pacu commonly reach 2ft in the home tank easily. I think that is the minimum size you should expect that fish to grow to....alot of home cared for redbellies that have had proper care and housings it isnt uncommon for them to reach 30" or maybe even larger.
