Best bet is to give it away for free, and even then he'll be lucky to get rid of it. Pacu need to be banned from pet stores, probably only 1% actually make it to sub-adulthood, and those that do survive past the 12" mark often live in very unideal environments (unfortunately my 16-17" red belly is in this category, because I was one of the many people who were misinformed about their adult size, but at least mine is in a 220 gallon which is probably a lot better than what it would have been in had I not bought it). Aside from their insane adult size, they also tend to have terrible temperment and will often take bites out of other fish they are housed with. Mine drives my aro crazy, particularly at feeding time, when it constantly follows it. It has caused my aro to jump into the lid on multiple occasions, and I am afraid that it will eventually jump out.
