Hey, we shld have this compettion, in which we see who can grow our pacu to max size the fastest. or who has a bigger pacu.

i have one thats a good 19inch,and about 13mos old.shes well fed.

Then we can have a competition, who can get rid of their 2 ft pacu the fastest. LOL Seriously, only the biggest tanks can hold a pacu for a good length of time, I traded mine when I realized this.

my dad used to have a 30" long pacu back in the 80s. he still loves monster fish.

I wish there was a dwarf pacu that grew to a foot long because then I would have gotten a pair. I don't have much experience with pacus since by that time I was too smart to get one, but I've read they are friendly towards people and like to eat fruit. Sounds like my kind of fish.

*Wonders how many people that have a pacu have a tank big enough for a full grown pacu... esp. blacks..

Not too many have true blacks....most have red or hybrids.

Give me two months....I'll weigh in with some big hitters.

ever heard of silver dollars? they are a type of pacu, and they only get to be 8" long. they need groups, though.
