ever heard of silver dollars? they are a type of pacu, and they only get to be 8" long. they need groups, though.

well no, silver dollars, tetras, pacus, piranhas, etc etc all belong to a family of fish called characins..

I wish there was a dwarf pacu that grew to a foot long because then I would have gotten a pair. I don't have much experience with pacus since by that time I was too smart to get one, but I've read they are friendly towards people and like to eat fruit. Sounds like my kind of fish.
