To insolate and reduce the vibration transferred to the floor actually.

Just bought a Blueline 40 HD-X inline and it works fine. The pump itself doesn't make too much noise, but a lot of vibration. I use flexible tubing for both intake and return so it's mostly between the pump and the floor. I put a piece of slate between the pump and the floor, and can feel the vibration in the next room (my old pump wasn't like that).

It's probably very simple but I was wondering if anybody has suggestions for a pad that is 1) commonly available 2) good for isolating vibration and 3) doesn't matter if it gets a little hot or wet?

Thanks!

I keep mine on an old washcloth. Most air pumps tend to get quieter as time goes along, or so I've found. Regulating the amount of air will make the noise/vibration less too. The less the air, the quieter.

closed cell foam insulation works great. The pink or blue stuff is available at almost any hardware store.

Cheap closed cell craft foam sheets should work. They're $.99 a piece for a 12x12 piece and you have a choice of color if you want.
