its taking some brine shrimps...

I hope you won't mind a suggestion, try to find a frozen product called cyclopseze. Is very nutritious much more so than brine shrimp and will really help get the fish acclimated. If you intend to keep this fish long term i would try to get it to eat a fine pellet. there is a good quality tiny pellet meant for tropical tetras. I think it's make by hikari. this would be my food of choice if I didn't have access to lots of live daphnia.

You don't back away from a challenge Li.

i think i am getting one next week (if the LFS gets them in, they ordered 5) so any tips you get would be appreciated!

thats what is so awesome about this site, ive never even seen a paddle fish before, pretty kewl looking for sure, how big do they get?? do they fit into the monster category?

I was at a LFS (Rainbow Pets in Arleta) and they fed it brine shrimp and they went crazy over it. I shot a video with my camera phone and will upload it when I get a chance..

Really active swimming around and eating till their bellys were nice and full. I wanted to buy them all but have no place to put it =-(
Very cool looking fish. First time I've seen one in person.
