Yes, a heater less aquarium for sure. Any and all North American fish can and most should be kept in a heater less aquarium. Of course there are exceptions but even sail-fin mollies are native to places where the winter temps fall to below freezing, Yes! Below freezing, I can catch them here in NC, totally native in ice crusted creeks in the winter. For some reason there seems to a obsession with hot water for fish, even tropical fish should be kept in the mid to low 70's The very few that need very hot water seem to be influencing every one else to keep their tanks hot. I was at a lFS yesterday and over heard the sales clerk pushing a heater by saying that houses aren't warm enough to keep tropical fish and they need water in the high 70's and low 80's such BS. All you really need is to Keep your fish from fast temp swings. I haven't used a heater in so many years with indoor fish I can't remember when that last time was. HEATERS AUUUGGGG:nilly:sorry about the rant, I now return you to the regularly scheduled posts.

QUOTE=benzjamin13;1982152;]These are North American Paddle Fish, so I think it would be safe for a heaterless aquarium. I hear they're plankton feeders and they look so fragile when I saw them at a lfs. Very cool looking though. I liked seeing them swim from a top view...they look so goofy, it's cute. Yes...I just used the word "cute" :D

When you use words like CUTE i think your supposed to say "no homo" afterwards.
