Understand something. The mods were asked to moderate a fish hobby site. They were asked this because of their experience in the fish hobby. When non-fish topics, like this one, take more of our on-line time than topics concerning the hobby, the interest to invest alot of time into these random topics wanes after numerous off-topic cleanings, infractions, and post deletions. In my case, I'd rather see these threads die completely than invest my hobby time into perpetuating them.

As to finding more staff, that's not my call. I'll make recommendations here and there concerning a potential member that shows proficiency in communicating and in the hobby. But, again, the final decision is not mine.

the thread was odd...people slendering others and making assumptions that were way off base. my mind was blown

I don't think anyone assumed that. Sounds to me like the questions were just asked why, and not why did YOU do that

Personally, if i wanna know something I'd just pm a mod myself
 
That last thread went downhill very fast and I'm surprised that it lasted as long as it did. Although I was following it, I refused to contribute just so I could avoid being drug into the arguments that were being formed. There is a difference between having a debate/discussion and calling each other names because we all have different opinions on certain topics.
 
Name calling didn't start til a few pages in. I can't believe it was even a hot topic to the point some people couldn't control their emotions and just discuss the topic
