Paint for glass backgrounds?

I just want to make sure that it will stick and not flake off. My dad is a house painter so he could do it pretty well and make it look great. I know it will look the same, I just want to make sure it will stay looking the way I want it to.

I used speckled "rock" spray paint on my 120gl with black over it.

I have used latex, acrylic, enamel, oil based. I have sprayed, brushed, and rolled it on. It all works the same, except for latex. Latex is much easier to remove,if you ever want to change it.

I've always used the cheap flat black spray paint from Walmart. Works just fine, but takes a couple coats. Has lasted just fine on my 75 for over 4 years

Does latex peel off at all by itself? I think it would be easier to brush it on then spray it with a spray can?
It won't peel by itself. At least it has not on mine. Spraying is really easy, except you have to tape everything but the back. Or scrape off any over spray.

Brushing works, but using a foam roller gets thicker, more even coverage,IME.

Rolling is really the way to go.

^ that speckled rock spray paint looke very nice. ^
Yes it does. Not only does it hide wires, but it gives some it more of a natural background...............

After scraping the back of my buddy's 125 I'm going latex. It looked great, was a nice thick, even coat and we have a can of latex paint in my garage. We're gonna roll it on with a mini roller. I'll probably do the back, sides, and bottoms since its going in wall I only want the front to be clear.
