I meant if you ever got tired of the painted background it is easier to change a printed one. ;)

Depends on what kind of paint you use. Latex is very easy to remove

i just switched over an have been painting the backgrounds of my tanks. i think thye look much better than the backgrounds. unless ur really dying for that forest look, painted black/blue looks way better than background black/blue IMO

youre going to want to paint the outside glass buddy! ;)

but i would do it the the tank empty to avoid any risks

painted for sure, the printed background never look right, and the 3D ones are limited to certain heights

if i was you i would paint beacuse you dont have a big tank not enough room for the fish to move and enjoy thats just my opinion

i took the oscar from a guy that had it in a 10 gal and was not planning on expanding the tank. I bought the only thing my credit could afford with the 65 gal (college budget) and get him a bigger tank when hes bigger(when i can get some more credit).

its not bad to paint with the fish in the tank?

The only scenario you should worry about is if you are spray painting. You don't want any of that getting into the water. I don't think the fumes from any paint would be strong enough to affect the fish.

I think he's referring to a 3D background that takes up space inside the tank, thus making it smaller and with a tank that size you don't want to sacrifice the valuable space.

use background, what if you accidentally scratched the front of your tank, then you would just be screwed cause you painted the other side
