i bought the red sea paintball co2 system and decided to to start using the large 10lb tanks. will the regulator for the paintball system work on regular co2 cylidners?

somebody just posted a thread about this the other day. i dont think it will work. thats why you never buy these paintball regulators! everybody always wants to switch eventually

the regulator fits on a regular co2 cylinder tho..
your paintball regulator fits a standard 5 or 10lb tank? my understanding was the opposite, that they dont fit. i know you could buy an adapter for a co2 regulator to go on a paintball tank, but not the other way around

hmm thats interesting. if it fits, then it should work by all means. just make sure you have a new gasket in there so it wont leak

Please, please, please post an update to this. The thread Jcardona1 was referring to was mine. I contacted Red Sea who said there is no adapter from a paintball regulator to a standard cylinder. I am very curious if this works as a paintball cylinder uses a pin style valve where a standard one uses an on/off valve.

i was going to fill it up yesterday but the place closed. ill try to fill it up sometime this week and give you an update. the regulator fits perfectly onto the cylinder but idk about how the valve will work. ill let you know when i try it out

Yeah, they use a standard size thread, but the valve itself is where I'm concerned about the functionality. If it works, you just saved me a big headache and a lot of money buying a whole new setup.
