It looks beautiful man. Like something the ancients would do.

Epic

Thanks! I got the design ideas from Dia de los Meurtos decorations from Mexico and Inuit totem poles.

My artwork hasn't made me rich, but it has the potential.

Nice yet disgusting

Cool idea though. I have to wonder what triggered that little light bulb...
Most people say "Eew gross" when they see a rotting animal, but others say, "Huh, i bet I can cut off it's head and paint it."
I like it.

Thanks! I wonder sometimes too. My mind is a scary place. I mainly got the idea from artwork done by various tribes around the world, mainly the Lakota (use buffalo and coyote skulls), Meso-Americans (coyote, dog, birds), Inuits (polar bears), and Aborigines (lots of animals).

Oh, it's not just the head, it's the entire skeleton! I just waited for nature to run its course and had very little tissue to remove because of waiting. Most of the bones were disconnected when I collected them.

very good job!!

Thanks! I have it entered into a juried exhibition at my school. I'm getting a lot of good feedback on it, so hopefully it wins something.

Pretty nasty, I would have thrown it over a fence and went on with my day. Looks good though, to each their own. I have no artistic skills so, I would have dipped it in black paint and saved it for haloween if I did do this. HaHa

Thanks!
Speaking of painted eggs, I saw some amazingly beautiful ones in Mexico City. The artist actually shaped the carved areas to curve outward to form butterfly wings and other forms. They were amazing!!! One of them was done on a robin's egg!
