I would just cover the tank with a drop cloth / plastic sheet / etc, open windows for best aeration/circulation, and turn on the ceiling fans.

Maybe just open a window for a few minutes at a time when your about half-way done, and when done...just to help let out any chemicals/etc that might be in the air.
Also, keep the A/C running...or at least just the fan of the A/C, that should help too I'd think.
and as others mentioned, probably a good idea to do a water change when done (though I'd wait till paint was dry and room is aired out before removing the drop cloth/sheet/whatever is covering the tank).
BPags52;3223803; said:I forgot to ask...what kind of paint? Oil or latex based? How are they painting the room? With a sprayer? or cutting/rolling with a brush/roller?
I definately wouldn't recommend using a sprayer, especially if its an oil-based paint...over-spray will get everywhere (and that stuff sticks to EVERYTHING).

BPags52;3242201; said:I think you'll be fineJust take the aforementioned precautions (covering tank, maybe even turning off filters/etc but thats up to you, ventilating the room as much as possible, maybe add carbon and do a water change after its all said and done).
